I ordered a size 14M and the box that the shoes came in stated 14M. The actual shoes however, were 15M. As if that wasn't enough, they weren't even the high gloss shoes I purchased. They were as dull as a regular leather shoe. What really made me annoyed was the fact that I paid $180 for them, thinking they would be great quality shoes . . NOT!!! As far as buying them, well, I had a bad experience! Don't ask.These are a great pair of shoes and are very comfortable. However, this is the second pair I am having to return. The lining inside the toe is not applied smoothly resulting in a sharp ridge inside the shoe in a visible crease outside.These shoes are excellent quality and look fantastic. I used to buy Bates, and like others have reported, their quality is no longer what it once was, and I had to find a replacement. I wear these when the occasion calls for me to wear my full Military Service Dress Blue uniform. These shoes are perfect.
